RE: OS FS62V

I have an 81-alpha (the one with the funky muffler) as well as an older Saito 82A. Both engines run really well and are rock solid. If they were both similarly priced, it would be an easy decision....

RE: Ultra Sport

Oh man! A six-page thread about a lighter version of the US 60 and no mention of the weight? Come on, I purposely read each and every post to let the suspense build. I waited patiently so see the...

RE: maiden flight aileron question

There could be a slight warp in the wing or perhaps one of the ailerons is not centered properly. Step back and eyeball everything from a few feet away and look for any obvious problems. If nothing...

RE: Ebay lipos

I don't have any specific guidance, but I figure buying lipos off ebay is just like buying anything else off ebay. Pay close attention to the seller's feedback, make sure you read the description...

RE: Tiger Stick .46, Hoverable?

If the RTF weight is at or about 5 pounds, it will probably hover. You'll probably want a low pitch prop like a 12x4 or something similar. It won't be easy, but if your thumbs are up to the task...

RE: ?'s about balance charging

Some chargers, like my CellPro 10S, have the ability to revive a bad cell, but I don't know anything about the charger you are using. Having said that, I don't think ANY charger can revive a cell if...

RE: ?'s about balance charging

I may have misread, but I think he said he had it connected to the balance port on the charger. If the charger can't do anything with that low cell, it's toast. The other two cells may be useful...

RE: ?'s about balance charging

Sounds like a bad cell to me. The pack is probably ready for retirement.

RE: Alternative of Pb(12V) starter battery ?

This would work too (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6785). It's a 4S 2200 20C for about US$19. I'm fairly certain HobbyKing will ship to Greece, but no idea what...

RE: Alternative of Pb(12V) starter battery ?

Kostas, that pack will work fine, but they want $65 for the darn thing! Unless you already have it laying around or have found a great deal on it, I'd go with a 3S or 4S lipo or A123 pack. Here...

RE: Alternative of Pb(12V) starter battery ?

I have a basic Hobbico starter that I bought at the LHS. I usually only charge it every few weeks, so it lasts me plenty long enough. A typical day at the field might include a dozen or so starts.

RE: Does anyone who knows about Xcore digital servos

Sophie,

Thanks for the speedy reply. No thanks, I don't wish to be a dealer. My only point is that doing the whole PM thing kinda makes it look like you have something to hide. If you have a...

RE: Sanding and finishing EPP Foam?

I'm just about to start on my first ever EPP plane, a TufFlight Bouncer (http://www.tufflight.com/bouncer.html). The TufFlight guys say sanding is best accomplished with 40 grit paper mounted on a...

RE: Does anyone who knows about Xcore digital servos

No offense, but why not share the requested information right here in the forum? I can't be the only person curious to know more but not will to bother with PMs.

I'm not Joe, but since he hasn't popped in to answer your question, I'll share my source. :) I use the same 2300 A123 packs and get mine from Wrong Way RC...

RE: Alternative of Pb(12V) starter battery ?

I've been using a 4S 2300 A123 pack zip-tied directly to my starter for over a year now. It's small and light, not as susceptible to damage as a lipo and not as finicky when it comes to sitting for...

RE: Source for adjustable push rods?

I make custom length rods as well with cf tube and these (http://connectorsrc.com/default.aspx). They are very light and nearly indestructible.

RE: 3D airframe for Saito 82

I certainly hope profiles aren't obsolete. That means I need to sell my entire fleet (no fatties in my house except for me! :) ) and buy a bunch of over-priced, fragile, carbon-filled ARFs. I'll...
