RE: Comp ARF BAE Hawk build thread

There are guys on the UK glider scene knocking out custom wing and fuz bags for our carbon mouldies with antiscuff linings that are comparable if not better than many of the jet bags i have seen you...

RE: Why does it always happen to the good ones??

Biggger models have crashed into bigger crowds and yet we are still here.....

You have to employ a little trust that the pilot, right from the very start of the build to the moment of the crash,...

RE: Why does it always happen to the good ones??

Ali, Sorry for your loss man. Even I liked that Hunter scheme!

Let me add a little on the whole historic BMFA thing, as I was on Council when it first reaered it's head. From memory a club at...

RE: NeedAdvice on Jetcat P120SX

I have a 120sx in my Rookie now. It has never failed to start, run or perform flawlessly.

RE: Low revving P80

Update: Well the problem turned out to be a mixed up ECU. The fix above didn't work. Bypassing all the possible fuel system restrictions (felt clunk, UAT, Ball valve) didn't work. In desparation I...

RE: Low revving P80

Cheers. Will try that tommorrow. Not sure the neighbours will like it running in the garden after dark!

Low revving P80

Can't seem to persuade my P80 to go above 113,000 rpm and sometimes it's *****g out lower still. ECU is trying to tell it to go to 120K and after 95K it only seems to accelerate really slowly. I've...

RE: Jet Cat 120 SX

That new manual has loads of 'extra' info in there. the bit regarding failsafes and JR PCM receivers was very enlightening, especially as there is no mention of it in the older manuals.

RE: New BAE Hawk by Composite ARF

I could do with less trees on the approach. Less slippy ice on the runway and some reverse thrust!
Be great in summer with a breeze!
Fancy finishing a jet in time to fly all winter!

RE: New BAE Hawk by Composite ARF

What Boomer? ;)
I just joined the Elvington fliers and have a load of tarmac to play with - hence the look at the Hawk.
Can't resist a nice Hawk me. Had prop. PSS and DF ones in the past.

Couldn't find the...
