RE: The Member who never came back

Everybody in a club was a newbie at one time or another. If they made it, why can't you? It's been my experience that some people think everyone else is supposed to cater to them when they show up...

Front dump canister mufflers for DLE 30

I'm looking for the front exhaust canister muffler for a DLE 30, the one that has the flex pipe header. Last year you could find these all over, now, it seems like they are nowhere to be found. My...

RE: Top Flite '.60 size' P-51D Mustang ARF: Building & Modifications

The verdict is...lose the stock retracts and replace them with some good quality air or electric retracts. The stock mechanical retracts are not up to the task at all. I have used Lado electrics in...

Is Slimline still in business?

I ordered a pilot bust off their website on November 25th, got a confirmation email, and that was the last I heard from anyone there. I have called and left voice messages, no reply. What's the...

RE: Why Microsoft continues to suck...

Gawd, Windows 8 just blows!! I tried it on a new laptop I bought, got disgusted, reformatted the hard drive and loaded Windows 7. I made sure I had all the drivers for everything before I wiped the...

RE: Why don't many people build RC kits any more, Part Deux

I have been in the hobby since I was six years old, and that was 51 years ago! I build from kits, I also assemble arfs. To me, the important point isn't how the plane got here, what's important to me...

RE: Have you seen the latest price on the TF Corsair?

Roughen the Monokote with some fine steel wool, and use Rustoleum spray enamel. Clear coat it with flat polyurethane.

RE: Have you seen the latest price on the TF Corsair?

Mine both came today. Best ARF covering job I have EVER seen, not ONE wrinkle anywhere in either plane! Damn UPS did their usual "let's see how far we can puncture the box" trick, but no damage...

RE: Have you seen the latest price on the TF Corsair?

No beefing up. I figured it's better to have useful weight up front vs. hanging 20+ oz of lead up front for balance. The engine fit inside the cowl with nothing sticking out. Using the 150 enabled...

RE: which is better...H9 P47 or Topflite P47 arf 60 size

I have a set of Wingspan electric retracts in my Top Flite P-51, and they are bulletproof! They will take struts up to 1/2" diameter, no music wire, scale retract speed, really good retracts!

RE: Zenoah G-23 - spitting black stuff still

Some of you engine "experts" seem to forget what break in is all about. It is all about the assembled parts wearing in to one another. Breaking in an engine on non-synthetic oil is the way to go,...

RE: DX7 Throttle Programming

There's a reason that these channels are "proportional". Like the previous poster suggested, don't just nail full throttle, ease it in. Also, if it's torquing to the left, use right rudder to keep...

I'd like to be added to the brotherhood, I have a VQ P-40 in AVG colors that I am just starting, will have a YS 91AC for power, electric retracts. I've always loved the P-40!

RE: 40 size flat out what do you think

This is a 3D aircraft, moving very slow most of the time. Drag is a non-issue at the speeds this plane will be flying.
