Forget what it looks like, most of the stuff that looks like a real plane falls short in the 3D trainer department (Ucan, Funtana.....). Get a Sledge, it does it all and does it well. Keep the throws...

The 6XAS is what I use for my 3D stuff. It handles dual rates and expo on AER and I put in flaperons and spoilerons and that's the limit of the radio, it's out of mixes. If you want anything else...

Been wanting to try some 3D with a Bipe, thought the Sig Ultimate profile might be a good candidate. Has anybody tried any 3D with one? Appreciate any input.

Irvine 53 slow to come back to idle?

Once it comes down it'll stay there all day and the transition is crisp and clean. Just takes forever to come down in the air.

Don't have one but I did design my own 3D electric about 6 months before the Live Wire came out. When I saw it my first comment was "Close but no cigar", it's going to be short on power.

Total blast. Had an OS20FP laying around, so I built this. Hovers at 1/3 throttle and pulls out with authority. Havin a ball just seein what this things capable of.

Most of the counter balances on RC planes are of the aerodynamic type (and mostly for looks) the aerodynamic counter balances on full size are used to reduce the stick forces (or RC servo loads)....
