Good Prize for Club Meeting

For our November Club meeting I am thinking about having club members bring an unwrapped toy to the meeting to donate to Toys for Tots program.

In return they would be entered into a drawing...

Just poor design in how the wings attach. The rest of the planes are designed well. Was surprised to see a metal 6/32 bolt being used to attach the wing. First time on the RVA he found the screws...

Heres what my buddy did with his Pawnee. He installed a Barbie doll in it for a pilot. Then he made a minature Dummy book and photo shopped the title "Crop Dusting for Dummies" onto the book. Barbie...

At my club field we have members that have both planes. The RV8 on it's 5th flight had wing failure. The right wing hold down ply tab let loose in the air. Plane was a total loss. It wasn't enough...

H-9 RV8 wing failure

A fellow club member had a new Hanger 9 RV8 plane. This member is a regular "Sunday flyer" and really is gentle with all his planes.
The wing is a two piece held in place with a 4-40 metal bolt...

You'll like that plane......I have had mine for four years now. Flys with a 120 Saito engine.......looks like the real thing in the air.......need to fly it in for a landing.
