RE: Most Skill Required To Fly Well?

My first SPAD was a nightmare, I compeletly jacked that thing up. Out of everything I fly, I'd have to say warbirds are generally the worst. Not that they are hard to fly, or even land, but my p51...

I've taken little breaks here and there, but for the most part it's always fun and relaxing for me. When I last started getting bored, I mixed it up and got into speed planes. Like someone above...

RE: For those that want to be self taught...

Iagree 100%. There is no doubt that it can be done, I don't think most people will put in the grit work beforehand however. For most, some help will come in handy.

RE: For those that want to be self taught...

My thought on the subect is that if your brand spakin new to flying it would be foolish NOT to seek the help of someone who knows what their doing. If you THINK you can do it alone, at least go up...

RE: From Beginner to EXPERT?

It's all relative. Your an expert when you can do one specific thing better than 99% of those who attempt it. As mentioned, a NASCAR or Indy driver can out drive 99% of drivers in the world. Tiger...

My first was a prediator with a Jett quickie .40. Still fly this one all the time, not a record setter by any means, but still pretty darn fast.

RE: Do you remember your 1st Crash?

In 9 years of flying, I've had two. First one was my trainer, a Royal Air 40t. I had been flying it for a while, and was ready to move up to something a little more advanced. As I was lnading, it...

RE: Mastering a Trainer?

Mastering an aircraft, and being ready to move up to a more nimble plane are two VERY different things.

One can spend YEARS flying the same aircraft, and never really MASTER it. I do feel, when...

RE: prop for a 46AX

12.25x3.75 APC. I use one on my Magic with a .46fx. It hovers nice, and has enough to pull out. I say try them both (12x4) and see which one suits you, and your aircraft better.

I'd love to get another one. I still have my shoestring, and it has over 200 flights on it, powered by a Magnum .91fs. I would have to say that it's STILL one of my favorite planes to fly and...
