RE: Zenoah G-26 Setup tips

Sure!

I first searched here and found some photos of how others had done it - then I went and did it sorta like some of the pictures.

1) I removed the carb plate that has the small hole in...

RE: Zenoah G-26 Setup tips

I've got a G26 on an USL. Nothing but problems with deadsticks when at idle. I tried leaning the low end, richening the low end, blah blah blah -

Vented the carb to the fuse and it works...

RE: Zenoah G-26 Setup tips

I can -

There is a gentleman in the RCU marketplace selling mufflers that he custom makes out of FL. He made one for me that works great on my G26 in a H9 taylorcraft. Look for the guy that...

RE: What are we looking in a good smoke pump/system?

I've done Minnflyer's smoke pump setup as well. I didn't want to wait for JC whitney, so I just headed down to the local auto zone and picked up the cheapest washerfluid pump they had, around 15...

RE: Fuel system on a gasser?

I like to put a second piece of tygon and clunk on the fill line, that way I can effectively pump out all unused fuel at the end of the day. This in reference to the picture in the post above, of...

RE: Cold weather help please

Just a clarification. Moist air is LESS dense than dry air.

Dry air is mostly diatomic Nitrogen - wt= 28
some diatomic oxygen - wt= 32
a percent or two of other gases.

MOIST air is the...

RE: Best gas areobatic trainer

One more thought for you - Hanger 9 Ultra Stick Lite and a G26. Or pick your 26 cc motor. Flies great, loads of fun for super cheap.

RE: BME supertiger G90 im dying to know

That (Methanol has a much larger heat of vaporization) is fine. Throw some numbers at it to lend some credence to what you are saying. Yes, a cooler charge of air is more dense, methanol may have a...

RE: BME supertiger G90 im dying to know

Okay, you want 10% Nitro?

Well, that doesn't change the BTUs for gas, that is the same:
114,100/gallon * 98% of a gallon that isn't oil = 111,818 BTU's/gallon

Now,

Methanol = 56,800...

RE: BME supertiger G90 im dying to know

Discowingo, don't Y'all use any ERL in yer' Glow fuel?

The ratio for gas is 14.2:1

So, 14.2/6 = 2.37
2.37*56,800 = 134,427 BTU's available in methanol. REMOVE 20% FOR UNBURNED ERL =...

I believe you are thinking about this wrong.

You now have the PERFECT excuse to buy a boat.

Or I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it. Grin.

RE: Need advise on G62, Please advise

I'm sure it (G62) is not the best motor out there. The DA50 probably is better in 10 different ways.

However, you said this:
" Youve got to be kidding me, more power than the other 50's out...

RE: Need advise on G62, Please advise

Modification of a stock G62 adds little or nothing to power. It allows the timing to be retarded for easier starts and better transition.

So you had a G-Stinger w/ G62? With the amount of...

RE: G26 throttle

You have your choice. G26 ships with carb block that rotates the carb to allow a straight shot for a throttle linkage, as well as the original if you want to use a bellcrank.

No, that is not my experience. I have the .61rfs, and I can richen the high end nearly a full turn from peak, and still have a good transition.

I had the H9 Easy Fly 40. I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. Buy it, learn to fly with it, teach your son to fly with it.
