So best practice is to run the engine straight out of the box , if it fails from FOD then box it back up and send to the retailer , he will tell you if it's your fault or the factory's?

Heard of warranty being refused before because of foreign object/s going through engine. Would you be able to tell if the FOD was from factory machining debris?:eek:

Stripped a plastic servo wheel on a 62cc SD Yak once. Made for an interesting landing. Now i only use double locking ally horns.Snap a cable and find out for yourself.:D

On the other hand , it doesn't hurt to open the engine enough to give it a good flush out. Doesn't take long , especially if you're the end user. What have you got to loose?
