RE: battery

I'm using an EFlite balance charger, and a 1250 Common Sense RC 3 cell LiPo...

This thing has been flawless since I bought it 4 months ago.

RE: Axe CP tail motor question

There are several posts quoting the better replacement. I also ran into the "no threads" in the replacement motor...

I bought a Heli-Max replacement, and it did not have the heat sink and the...

RE: Alternative Repair parts for Shuttle ZX?

I'm not trying to make this into a TREX or anything like that....just trying to find parts that are more readily available.

I've looked at all the places you've mentioned. Thanks for the input.

Alternative Repair parts for Shuttle ZX?

I have a really old SHuttle ZX belt start, and it is in need of repair.

Instead of trying to search around for the original parts, I thought I would see about alternatives...

The tail boom...

RE: Modifying axe w/ larger rotors, boom, and BL

Yes, I'd love to see that too....I'm just going to upgrade to a bigger heli (450ish)...Probably the Ka-Planes Blackhawk.

RE: Calculating head speed in mph

I agree with Mike....consider that the standard film (movie film, not TV) is at 29.97 frames per second. That means that there are almost 30 still pictures a second and the eye and brain percieve...

Well, flat and centered, and pointing in the same direction as the main blades.

RE: Which servos?

Remember, if you replace one, you should replace them all...

HS-55's I believe are the best replacement, but others can elaborate because I don't have these in mine.

RE: Swashplate replacements for AXE CP

I have that swash, and it works perfectly. To be honest though, I didn't see much improvement over the plastic one, other than the sound, and the metal balls don't break like the plastic ones.

RE: simulator

I can't hover stable either...it's just the nature of this size heli....there is no HH gyro, the tail is a seperate motor, and when the battery goes down, so does tail authority. They are also so...

RE: Custom canopy for AXE CP??

Thanks for the reply...I was hoping that there was another shape than the stock.

I think I'll move up to the 450 size, and maybe go with a scale fuse.

RE: Custom canopy for AXE CP??

Come on guys! Doesn't anyone have an opinion on this?

I've been flying this thing for several months without the canopy because it's too much trouble to put on and take off all the time, and on...

RE: T-Rex 700 Poll

I think once you get that big, you need to go with gas.....the electrics are going to be too much investment in batteries, and nitro is getting there.....

Any thoughts?

Custom canopy for AXE CP??

I was just wondering if anyone has seen, or made a custom canopy for the AXE CP?

Will any of the other canopies fit, like the ones for similar sized Heli's?

Problem is, I have a LiPo...

RE: CNC Center Hub for AXE CP

Don't get the EZ confused with the CP....they are VERY different machines, and the parts will NOT mix!

RE: CNC Center Hub for AXE CP

matthend,

I'm saying that wherever you replace plastic with metal (ball links, etc...) the other parts that connect to it will break or bend.

I never had a feathering spindle bend until I...

RE: CNC Center Hub for AXE CP

I have the silver swash and blade grips from this same place, and I am very pleased with them. It quieted the swash down a bit.

A word of warning though....if you replace plastic with metal,...

RE: Rotor head wobble

Mine has ALWAYS wobbled a bit. Once it get's up to speed though, it's good. I recently had to make repairs, and the see-saw was a bit sticky, and that thing was VERY twitchy....I knew right away that...

RE: CNC Swash - Improvement?

Exactly. I replaced MY grips because I'm out of spares, and I had them sitting there. Luckily I have a see-saw spare!

RE: CNC Swash - Improvement?

I guess they aren't THAT expensive, but the stress has to go somewhere....and it's likely a plastic part.

RE: CNC Swash - Improvement?

I just crashed after replacing my swash, and blade grips, and it went in pretty hard....the only thing that needed fixed was a broken ball on the see-saw. The spindle looks good, and nothing else is...

I have an RC car, and I was just going to do something like a switch there too...it is something that in the RC Car arena, that is normal. In the small RC Heli world, not so much.

I am going to...
