Thank you Karolh and others for this suggestion. I had not considred this option. I like the 8UHFS TX, it has served me well so far and I'd be happy to keep, granted I can feel confident it won't let...

I just re checked, the pilot is too tall by over an inch. Did anyone experienced similar issue? Or did I receive the wrong part from Tower?

The label says 1/5 civilian pilot, height is 4.3"...

I just receive from tower the 1/5 civilian pilot. Upon inspection, it appears to be too tall to fit under the canopy. Did you guys trim it down? Any recommendation for this?

Currently building my Extra. Using HS225 servos on the ailerons, I encountered the same issue with the servo arms. Standard arns were too short.
Haven't completed the setup yet, measured the throw...

72MHz RX antenna cut short ?

Hi,

the antenna wire on my Futaba R148DF was cut short after a plane mishap. It is now about 1 1/4" shorter than the original length.

Is it still safe to fly, or will this put the setup out...

I don't know about the Slash, never tried it.

But I run my Rustler VXL on 3S lipos. Wheelies are endless. I like the truck a lot, it is really fast and handle pretty well.

I'll be doing mostly general off-roading, very little street/road. And yes I want to be gentle with the lipos, and don't care much for crazy speed.
