RE: What hop-op options/upgrades should I get for TA03 chassis?

The front one-way has me intrigued... if the front wheels don't brake, wouldn't that make the car understeer more? That would make it harder to come out of sharp corners.

I don't know what motor...

RE: What hop-op options/upgrades should I get for TA03 chassis?

What hop-op options/upgrades should I get for TA03 chassis?

I finally acquired a NIB Porsche 911 PIAA in TA03RS chassis (looking for it for a while now), and I'll probably build it up soon. What hop-ups are a must for this chassis? My only other experience...

RE: How does the TA-02 compare to the TA-03?

The body I want (Porsche 911 993 generation) is not available anywhere else I've seen. That's actually my dream car now, something I hope to eventually get. I'll settle for the RC model for now....

RE: How does the TA-02 compare to the TA-03?

There area couple kits that only come with these 2 chasses.

How does the TA-02 compare to the TA-03?

Iknow the TA-02 is shaft-driven, and the TA-03 belt-driven, but other than that, I don't know enough about these 2 chasses to know what the (dis)advantages of each are. Is one form generally...

RE: Electric to glow for E-flight DHC-2 Beaver

Dan, are you saying that neither the Saito 40 nor the OS 52 are powerful enough to fly the Beaver + floats for you?

Also, you mentioned that you're at 1500 ft in general, does that degree of...

RE: Electric to glow for E-flight DHC-2 Beaver

A question about the "new" Saito 40. Are you guys referring to the model that came out in 2002, or have you managed to get your hands on the NEW-new 40a?

...

RE: Electric to glow for E-flight DHC-2 Beaver

None, but some come closer than others. I just think 11" would be too small to look good... but please post pics and prove me wrong! :)

RE: Electric to glow for E-flight DHC-2 Beaver

Pics would be great, but I think the prop swing by a .40 four stroke (likely 11", 12" at most) will be too small to look good.

RE: Which would you rather have, Saito 30 or Saito 40A?

Interestingly, Saito seems to be bringing the 40a back, at least in GK form.

Pairing a 1/4" engine crankshaft w/ 5/16" spinner backplate hole?

I have a Tru-Turn 2-1/4" spinner that I'm going to use on a YS63. The hole on the back of the spinner matches perfectly with the YS crankshaft, which I believe to be 5/16", certainly bigger than the...

RE: Which would you rather have, Saito 30 or Saito 40A?

Heh, it seems that nobody on RCU ever talks about the Saito 40A, surprised more than a few people have it!

RE: Which would you rather have, Saito 30 or Saito 40A?

Hobbsy, do you think the 40a would be too much power for the LT-25? How about with floats? Will the 30 be able to handle it?

RE: Which would you rather have, Saito 30 or Saito 40A?

Scott, can you tell me how they compare to each other? Is the 40A really a lot more powerful than the 30? Also, how do they compare in terms of size? Saito says they're about the same height, but the...

I'm leaning toward that, but can you elaborate on why you say that?

Which would you rather have, Saito 30 or Saito 40A?

I have a Saito 30 right now but no application to put it in. The planes that would work well with this power would look silly with such prominent rocker covers showing. The Saito 40A, however, is...

Are Pilot "Quick Built Series" kits difficult to build?

I'm talking about from their old line, 10-20 years ago, presumably before their factory burned down. I know they are dye-cut rather than laser-cut, but I've heard that the quality of the wood is very...

RE: Did anybody actually get their rebate from OS in late 2007?

Looks like I got the shaft :( I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I wanted cash rather than certificate?
