You're right, the D/R adj wheel is seldom mentioned on the X-Mod. For most folks, leaving it maxed out would be best considering the X-Mod's turning radius. There is a thread out there...

Besides removing the overspray on a car's finish, it will remove just about any sort of surface contaminant. Go over your whole car and it will leave the finish smoother than a uh.. really smooth...
