Not true, NiCd cells are charged by constant current.. not voltage, in fact the voltage required to charge an 8 cell pack (most tx's) is 8 * 1.7v (approx) which is around 13.6v. Thats why most cheap...

As a rule, you should always use Futaba crystals in Futaba rx and JR crystals in JR rx regardless of the tx being used.

Sometimes you can get away with interchange but the range can be seriously...

24 hour epoxy will do the job, and its easy to remove when you need to as it is quite brittle.

A thin layer makes a great gasket that wont leak.

Yes and no ...

The V1 was and still is a great heli, but the V2 seems to be more stable and responsive. It may be just because my V1 has quite a few hours on it...

My question is how do you define the time if you dont know the exact state of your pack.

Constant charging at 1/10C is not a good idea, although a couple of hours extra will not do much...

The good ones are very good, the bad ones are very bad, and its about 2 in 10 that are baduns from what I can figure.

They are VERY cheap in the uk with the 58 costing about the equivalent of $60...
