Well, that's what we thought originally... Problems in the tranny usually "SOUND" ominous... meaning there's usually something sounding crunchy or funny. Well USMC, you're halfway a clutch genious...

don't you think he should at least try the airleak test before tearing the whole thing down and then sealing it? I understand that sealing everything would be the best way to eliminate...

He can do it that way.. but he was doubting the tranny also... We just gave him that option without having to remove the engine, even though looking at the clutch with the motor attached...

just dropped the Vantage set in mine... Haven't driven it enough to give an idea about how sturdy they are, but they "appear" give more snap to starting off..

ahhh good point... I forgot how easy it is to take the tranny out of the Revo.. and he will have access to the clutch without having to lose his current mesh.

talking semantics but... smoke and sound would be "subjective" and the temp gun would be "objective" because it provides a measured data. The subjectivity about the smoke and engine sound...

yep, that sounds like the clutch alright... maybe a broken clutch spring. Trying to think how to test it without having to take the engine off.... but can't come up with anything....
