If I use the skinny fronts on the back on it it spins them, if I put the fatter rears on, it pulls wheelies:D

Tried it..My motor is just too much for it:(
It literally lights up the tires on dry pavement, with my other set of tires it just pulls wicked wheelies[X(]

OK - Well I sent it in, got a new one, and was back to rompin it hard[8D]

So Me n a buddy took it and the buggy (now with a Novak Atom ESC and 15x2 mod motor, body and custom wing:))

I keep seeing this B2 mod, but I dont understand. I watched the vids, but but looks jut like my ball diff. Will the EXT trans bolt it? What mods/parts would I need? I want to eliminate the ball diff...

So what is the advantage of a 10x2 vs say a 20x1?

Is a 15x4 equal to 60x1?? I thought lower numbers were what I wanted??

Thanks for the replies guys. I added some extra cooling fins, so we'll see if that works. If not Ive got an XL-5 on its way back from Traxxas I can toss in there that should support a 15 turn motor.....

UPDATE:

The motor is fine. spins in both directions fine.


So after messing with it some more I got reverse to work. So I reprogrammed it backwards, and hooked up the motor...

OK So I did some research on my XL-5 ESC...

Input voltage: 4-8 Cells (4.8 to 9.6 Volts DC)
Motor Limit: 15-turns** (540 Size)
: 12-turns** (550 Size)

You're right - I found it:



The diode is there to protect the ESC - and in many cases can be left off
The capacitors are fitted to the motor terminals to prevent radio interference...

OK, well I felt I should update this thread a bit. I ended up getting a Traxxas XL-5 for it. Hooked it up, programmed it, and off I went. So Im out in the yard, and a guy from across the street comes...

Well Im going to replace it with a Traxxas XL-5, which is matched to the motor, and not too expensive.
This is just a beater until I get something else.
