The Traxxas Telluride

Another interesting creation from traxxas. They're attempting to enter the scale/trail truck segment with a shorted variation of the slash 4x4 chassis....

RE: new rc!

The thing to think about when you're deciding is where are you going to drive it.
What kind of terrain will you drive it on? How much room do you have?

RE: Lunchboxer's TXT-1 project...

Same here. I like the all aluminum chassis and the cantilever suspension.

RE: integy really dropping the ball!

You were looking for cvds for a high stress application, so you bought integy brand ones?
Sometimes it really is worth buying a higher end product, like MIP brand ones.

RE: Tamiya Monster Beetle Re-Release!

Was wondering about that. The original put quite a bit of leverage against the mount on the chassis. I like your MB shock tower mod. Very clean looking.

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

That's good to hear. I've bought from him a few time off ebay. Didn't know he had any other store.

RE: durable 1/10 touring car?

If these are going to be rentals, I'd go with shaft drive. If it was for you, belt would be fine, but with a rental car, you can bet that there will be people who drive it like they stole it. I think...

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Sorry I took so long. I've done a lot of looking and only found one widener kit that will work with the stock clod wheels. All others convert it to 14mm, 19mm, or 23mm hexes. These give you exactly...

RE: Name this truck!@@!

+1 The tires are Tamiya, but the chassis isn't. Not sure what it is. Would be kinda strange to stick an Orion system in a no-name chinese car.

RE: slayer pro

There, that's better.

Stock ones are 2.2/3.0 short course wheels with 14mm hexes.

RE: Axial Ridgecrest upgrades

I'm pretty sure that the ridgecrest uses wraith axles with a ax10 transmission.

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

You may have to use wideners. Juggernaut wheels would probably help, but those are even harder to find(except for the aluminum ones). Wideners often use the stock stub axles with barrel nuts. Those...

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Did it come with a saver adapter for hitec? I started out using the futaba adapter, but although it does fit, it was a bit too loose and it stripped out. I upgraded mine to one made for an Associated...

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Just saw Tamiya's video of it in action. It definitely has less torque roll than the txt-1. No doubt due to the standard setup and 8 shocks.

4ws would definitely be a plus. How is your hs645...

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Man, that body turned out great. How's the suspension feel?

In regards to your question in post 26, bodies made for the tmaxx or revo 3.3(there are tons of those) should fit fine.

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Nice! Are you going to try out the stock tires or use the clod ones right away?

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

See how you like them when it's all built. You can always add foam later if you want them firmer.

Currently I'm using the stock motors with an HPI GT esc I got when my brother upgraded his...

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Depends how much heavier the txt-2 is. The txt-1 came with clod tires and it has no problems with them(I own a txt-1).

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

Yeah, they are some beefy tires. No need for foams there.

RE: Tamiya TXT-2 Agrios Build thread

It's not that there aren't Tamiya fans on this site, just that the 'tamiya monster truck' section has been slow, so people don't check here often. It would get more replies in the 'offroad electrics'...
