Can this motor run on an 8.4v battery (NiMH)? I would assume so but I can't find any voltage specs on it, just that the trucks that come equipped with it use a 7.2v battery.

I believe Peter's comment was largely due to the fact that there is nothing modular about these boats. So, if you want to replace one part of the radio system you have to replace it...
