RE: Chicago Area Bash: Sunday June 14th

Not sure if I can make it tomorrow.  Scheduled to work the afternoon, the maximum I could squeeze in would be an hour of bashing.  I'm charging my packs and packing up all my spares and we'll see...

RE: Chicago Area Bash: June 6

Jeremy:  Great videos!  Who all bashed last weekend?

That was mostly my fault.  I shouldn't wrench in the landing area.  Doh!

RE: Chicago Area Bash: June 6

Awesome pictures, makes it look like Iactually got some air! Did you get any pictures of the bumper-mounted LEDfoglights?

Definately a great bash, those who didn't come missed out. Prime location,...

RE: Chicago Area Bash: June 6

Hope it's not too late to RSVP. Last week looked fun and I requested the weekend off so I could bash.

Mufasa: I do know who Tim is, but don't think he remembers me. I'll check out Busse on...

RE: Chicago Area Bash: June 6

Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to cancel.  I went into work today and they said I was now scheduled for Saturday at 7am.  Hopefully they won't keep me the whole day, but who knows.    If I don't end up...

RE: Chicago Area Bash: June 6

Sign me up for the bash, there's no way I'm missing this one. I live in A.H. so it's only on the other side of Mt. Prospect from me. I'll be there with at least a Rustler and RC18T. I'll have...

RE: Help with Propulse Buggy

Close, Derigor. Charging at 1C is charging at a rate equal to the capacity of the pack. So charging a 1400mAh pack at 1C would be 1.4A. What you described is .1C.

I recommend the Onyx 230...

RE: Radio Shack Pro pulse Close Out ?

I snagged a few packages of pretty much everything last time I was there. The "Dirt Hawg" copies are on my T. They're noticeably harder than the stock rubber, but give enough traction in 30 degree...

RE: Radio Shack Pro pulse Close Out ?

Well, at the very least, head on over to your RS armed with a $10 so you can get some aluminum shocks and Ti turnbuckles. Keep them in your spare parts box to use on your RC18T. The shocks are very...

RE: Radio Shack Pro pulse Close Out ?

Chassis, top deck, shock towers, bumpers, steering bellcrank, and front hubs are different, but the arms, dogbones, diffs, camber links, shocks, and wheels are interchangeable. Pretty much the...

RE: Pro-Pulse Wheels on a RC18

They do. I run the dirt-hawg clones on my T and spiked buggy wheels on my RC18corR.

RE: RC18R Motor/ESC questions

Hmm, I don't recall anyone having a problem with durability or mounting the old Mamba-25, which was shrinkwrapped. And you can simply CA glue a AE XPS heatsink on the FET's then reheatshrink, or...

RE: 1/18 off road Truck, rc18mt vs Losi lst2

Enjoy your new truck! The "2" is a much more reliable truck than the original mini-LST ever was. You shouldn't have any problems with the differentials, and the DSM radio is the icing on the cake. ...

RE: 1/18 off road Truck, rc18mt vs Losi lst2

For purely off-road bashing, I'd recommend the mini-LST2. Due to it's larger tires and overall size, it'll be able to better tackle grass and larger clumps of dirt.

RE: Recoil Battery question

It has been discontinued by Horizon Hobby. The battery pack it uses is a 2/3A size, NOT Sub-C.

RE: ansmann 1200mah batt

^ This is for a mini. The largest capacity 2/3A cell you can buy is 1500mAh.

1200 will be fine, but there's better quality cells out there. Try cheapbatterypacks.com or find some EP1500's.

RE: Mini REVO and Mini Slayer are coming !!!!!!

:D I'm an electric guy, but all the guys I bash drive either OFNA Hyper7's or MGT's. I've gotta say, nitro is fun, but I don't care for the cleanup. Plus my mom would freak if I ever set a nitro...

RE: Mini REVO and Mini Slayer are coming !!!!!!

^ Probably because he's never driven a brushless truck!;)

Or maybe a Stampede VXL kicked his T-Maxx's little butt in a race?

RE: Poor Little RC18T :(

The RPM arms are great. Lighter than aluminum and just as stiff.

Seeing what a small rock can do to a RC18T makes me want to stick to driving my Recoil on a Tennis court now...

RE: Are these brushless motors any good?

You can do better. They sell the same cheap Chinese motors and ESC's for less at hobbycity.com and dealextreme.com, respectively. Or just buy a used Mamba-25 system on eBay for between $55 and $65.

RE: Let's Talk About The SportWerks RECOIL!!!

Since I'm running such a large(24x33mm) and low kv (4900) motor, I think a 22T is a safe bet. I remember a guy on one of the previous pages running a 30T pinion! Besides, it's the smallest 2mm...

RE: Let's Talk About The SportWerks RECOIL!!!

Haha, this car gets more expensive by the minute! I have a 14T from my RC18T, would this be a good starting point or should I look for a 15T and above? Losi mini LST pinions should work, right? ...

RE: Let's Talk About The SportWerks RECOIL!!!

Like I promised, I went ahead and purchased a Recoil. I bought one of the $98 Pro Spashett Editions off eBay along with a black pre-painted body for $12. I needed a car to drop my *free* AON4900...
