I really hate to hear that! While I think there are some great foam planes out there, there is just something special about hearing a glow motor, especially a 4 stroke, on a plane. It gives it a bit...

.40 size glow powered trainer

I have been looking at a lot of different websites that sell RC airplanes and I cannot find any .40 sized nitro ARF trainers. I have switched most of my current planes to electric, and now I’ve got...

Slash 4x4, E-Revo Brushless, or E-Maxx BL?

I have recently gotten interested in RC cars/trucks. I've been flying rc airplanes and helicopters, nitro and electric, for the last 10 years, and now I'm looking for something new to play with. I...

What's wrong with my setup?

I bought a new E-flite Mini Ultra Stick PNP. It came with a Park 450 motor, and E-flite 22 amp BL ESC installed. I bought a E-flite 3S 11.1V 2200mAh 30C battery (recommended to me by the LHS guy) to...

Thanks for the reply Denny! I guess I didn't make myself as clear as I thought I was in my head. I have no problem soldering wires and connectors, that's not the issue. The issue is that my Turnigy...

I've been away for 5+ years.

So after being laid off in 2009 during the recession , I found another job that didn't pay nearly as well and therefore I lost a lot of my funds to stay in the hobby. I sold everything I had except...

RE: Titan, or Titan X50?

Thanks for the replies guys. Okay, so after reading some other threads about flybarless Raptors, I'm thinking I might want to do that in the near future. But on the spec's, it says it requires a 3...

RE: Titan, or Titan X50?

Well, actually I have been out of the Corps since 2005. But thank you for the recognition and Thank You for your service as well. My "vacation" was actually due to the economy in 2008. I was laid off...

Titan, or Titan X50?

Some of you may remember me, some may not. I was really big into Heli's back in 2007-2008, and I knew just about everything there was to know about them, even helping people out on this site here. I...

30% fuel

I heard a nasty rumor today from the guy who owns our hobby shop. He told me that China just shut down one of its biggest nitro producing plants. He told me that because of that, there will be no...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Try moving your glow plug to a different bolt, or find a way to bolt it directly to the engine. Sometimes the painted bolt doesn't want to conduct very well.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

No water is going to get sprayed on the heli unless you dip a blade into it. They told you that you have to use them on calm bodies of water, this would more than likely be a small lake, pond, or...

RE: Chillin in South Florida

Sure must be nice to be able to fly on New Years Eve. Here in KY it was 15 degrees, -4 wind chill factor at 9am. Maybe I should join the crowd in FL!:D

RE: question about muffler....

You might see a noticable performance drop, and you might not. The muffler was designed to have a certain amount of backpressure to keep the engine running properly, and also to keep enough pressure...

RE: Newbie just got Raptor 50

3D 4 ME, BH is right, it's a V2, not a titan. The dead giveaway is the boom, boom supports, and skid tubes. They would all be a titanium color (greyish) instead of a black boom and aluminum supports...

RE: question about muffler....

The exhaust is likely a universal muffler made to fit the majority of the 30 size engines out there. Most engines have the exhaust port on the left side of the heli, while the others have the exhaust...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

He says that he lost radio control. But this could have happened if the battery came unplugged. It also could have appeared to lose radio control if the gyro reset itself, causing the heli to spin...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Nitro heli's are full of bearings, and other metal on metal parts. While outside interference is a problem, the heli itself can make interference(clutch, oneway bearings on mainshaft, and so on)....
