RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

for those who want a good gyro, I will recomend the GY520. it has consistent piros compared to align 780, and the GY401. I'm throwing away my HS65HB, they strip with piroflips, I'm going fully...

RE: Raptor 30 blade balancing

I will replace the blades with Carbon Fiber ones. My TREX 600 uses CF blades and don't need balancing. You don't want the tape to peel off in mid air...

RE: Beginner, Intro and of course, question!

Somehow the Raptor is not very popular in the field I fly. I've seen most TREX Align's. I have 3 my self, 2 x TREX 450 SE V1, and 1 TREX 600 ESP. I love electric heli's since you can get cheap...

RE: Electronics getting hot

Silly question, but did you check the voltage rating on your rudder servo? Some futaba rudder servos works at lower voltage, so you need a step down voltage regulator, those given on the TREX600. I...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Agree, if the heli is sitting there for a while, and you going to un-dust it, be extra careful. There's a ocassion where, I landed the heli, and while I was going to remove the battery I miss place...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Cool man! I'm turning away from the trex450, the reason is that the field I go to is very windy, and it is hard to see the heli, specially with the sun. I got the trex600, which is more impresive...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Just to drop few words wondering how everybody is doing these days? With economy slowing down, there's not much activity here. Anyone still in this hobby? I departed from my first heli W36 and now...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

your links might not have the same length. Also, your radio might not be trimmed to 0/100 pt when setting it up the first time.

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Anyone interested in a used Futaba 9650? I had it in my bird for a while; there is nothing wrong with it. I change it to a faster servo because I'm practicing 3D. To sell cheap $25 + Shipping...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Hi fellow flyers,

with my last crash, my 401 gyro is not switching to AVCS mode. It is always in normal mode, even if I flip the switch in CH5. Also, found out that the servos are all messed...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Agree, even it will be more stable and easier to fly, it will add cost for repairs. I think 500 servos are mini-servos like 9650, and for T600 are standard servos. slightly bigger. T600 is already...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

I've never hear of it. I even googled it and didn't find anything. If you want to repair it, I will suggest to go an extra mile and go with something like HK450. The screws can be easily removed...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

No. HK450 is based on TREX 450, and it is slightly bigger. I think WK36 is a 350 size heli, plus the swash is 90deg, and HK450 is 120 deg. The head is not compatible, because there's a extra servo...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

after 100+ flights the links become loose. I think that is why the bird is sloppy when switching to inverted. I replaced them to the TREX 450 sport links. Will try them tomorrow. Today was too...
