Need recommendations for a plane...

Hi all,

I have come across some electric flight equipment that I would like to use. I haven't flown electric yet, so I'm a bit confused as to what type of plane would be best suited to allow me...

BTE Vortex

Does anyone have any opinions on the BTE Vortex? I'd be interested in hearing opinions or advice on the build itself, engine recommendations, flight characteristics, etc? I'm contemplating one for...

Sig 4-Star replacement wing

Hi all,

Does anyone know if a replacement wing for an ARF 4-star can be used with a kit built fuselage? If not, is there a replacement wing kit available as a replacement?

Thanks!

RE: Airmadillo landing gear

That's getting closer. Do you know the depth of the landing gear? I mean, to mount it on the fuse, it requires 2 holes about 1.5" apart, one in front of the other. I'm wondering of it is "deep"...

RE: Airmadillo landing gear

Well, now we're getting closer! The design is right, and the Carbon gear is really cool looking, but the cost is really high. The gear that I have seen people with are rumored to be less than...

RE: Airmadillo landing gear

Thanks for the link. That's the right kind of material, but wrong style of gear. I need the 1 piece gear that mounts underneath the fuse (think something like Sig 4* gear).

Airmadillo landing gear

Hi all,

I am looking for the indestructable, plastic-type landing gear I've seen some people use on their Drillers (Airmadillo Kombat aircraft). People I have asked said they have picked them...

I actually have RealFlight G2 running on a Windows 98 computer. Its been setup that way for about 2+ years now, and then only thing I use it for is the Simulator. I would just as soon get rid of it...

RE: RC Flight Simulators

Try this company: http://www.alphamacsoftware.com/

They have an RC Heli simulator for Mac that should even work with a USB adapter for your transmitter, or even a Real-Flight transmitter.

RE: Sims for Apple computers?

Well, I agree about there not being a very large market, but I don't think that it would double develop time. In fact, on most of the development projects I've worked on that were multi-platform,...

RE: Sims for Apple computers?

Thanks for the info Matt. Running G2 through virtual pc was my next question, so if its going to be too slow I'll skip it. I wish they wouldn't forget about us non-Windows users when designing this...

RE: Gluing hinges question

While 1/32" is a pretty small gap, you won't glue the 2 pieces together. I use a pin (like a T-Pin or just a straight pin) and put it in the center of the hinge material. I then insert the hinge...

Yes, I have downloaded all the material from the website(s), and yes, I have been practicing on RFG2 (it's still too cold / windy to be outdoors too much). Yes, I agree...
