This is excellent,I am impressed.
I like the RX18 for it's cheapness at getting a tank to work effectively,however it's sound has always been it's big let down.

I've had issues with my asiatam metal hull with the idlers toeing in and the tracks just generally not running true.
I've had some success using 3mm washers as shims behind the idler adjuster...

My return rollers came cracked from new,but the road wheels are ok,so far.
I used superglue (cyano) to glue the worst of them back together but the rest of the tyre is still slowly perishing away...

Do a google search for Chaos Space marines for Warhammer 40000.
They use lots of spikey bits and skulls on thier tanks etc,may be just the inspiration you need.
The imperial guard for 40k even...

It's not the stiffness of the hull but the amazing torsion bar suspension that works so beautifully and the extra weight that along with the metal tracks adds so...
