Two quick questions:

What FDR do you recommend for a 17.5 Brushless setup?

Is there an optional motor plate available to accommodate larger pinion gears or do I have to mod the current one?

Yep. I had an HPI MT2 that did that the first day I owned it, then did it again. HPI replaced it under warranty and sent me a shim kit. No issues after that.

Thanks. It is as I figured. To be competitive brushed I will end up spending more money in the long run then if I buy the brushless setup up front.

I am not sure what your local hobby shop situation is but I always tell people that ask, buy what your LHS sells. Makes getting parts way easier and help when you need it. If you buy a car online...

I have an e-firestorm, Traxxas Stampede (similar to Rustler) and 3 Evader's. The firestorm is far superior. Build quality, tune ability and the fact that it comes Brushless ready, all metal gear box....

Yep. You have to re-program the ESC. Instructions are in the manual.

I have been doing tons of reading regarding this. My plan is to lower ride height by installing travel reducers, reset the camber and street tires. I will test it and adjust from there.
