RE: Trex 450 HDX servo Questions.

I have an HDX/TRex 450 hybrid (it has the HDX STK Superframe and the rest are Align parts) ... I use the Hitec HS-65HB servos for cyclic and love them!! They are cheaper than the MG's and hold up...

RE: Tower pro servos on Trex -your opinion

I have run them on my 450's, they are okay for standard flying and even worked on rudder for nice piro's but they do not hold up well in crashes, in fact after one crash I had three strip on me. I am...

RE: trex500 tail bob problems

When you say bobbing, do you mean up and down or left and right?

Up and down is generally due to either low headspeed, belt tension (too much or too little), or another vibration problem.

I...

RE: 450 or 500 or 600 trex?

I say go with a 600 if space where you fly is not an issue, but to me the 500 has quenched my thirst for a larger heli from my 450's and cannot even imagine a 600 in my front yard as the 500 is a...

RE: need new servos

Hitec HS-65HB's are good too, plus they do not develop slop like metal gears can ... however after about 3-4 hard crashes the gears will strip and need to be replaced, but at around $7-8 who can...

RE: SUCCESS, My 500 flys!

I bought a TP 610, which comes with a balancer and can handle 6s lipos as well as two 3s at the same time. I ordered an Align 6s 25c 2600mah lipo to add to the battery bag, so now I have enough for 3...

RE: SUCCESS, My 500 flys!

I am very glad, man I love the 500 ... it just has such a much more stable feeling to it, yet it is very powerful, but easy to control.

I need to get more batteries though, and a new charger so...

RE: SUCCESS, My 500 flys!

Awesome, I had my maiden flight this weekend as well ... man the 500 is a great BIG bird when compared to my 450 and the way it handles the winds 10-20 as well this weekend.

Running a 4s lipo?

RE: Want a Phoenix flight simulator

I would contact Phoenix support directly with your questions, they will be able to best tell you if your PC can run their sim.

Personally I would think it could, as long as you have at least a...

RE: 5S OR 6S for trex 500 ?

Thanks, so basically you are suggesting to ground the front tail drive bearings to the boom, then ground the boom to the frame, and lube my belt?

How do you ground the tail bearings to the boom...

RE: 5S OR 6S for trex 500 ?

RE: 5S OR 6S for trex 500 ?

Really? Hmmm ... a T-Rex 500 is that much better than a Hurricane?

Now I am really on the fence, I like the longer boom on the Hurricane.

Just wondering, is there an extended boom setup for...

RE: 5S OR 6S for trex 500 ?

Can you wire two 3s 2200-2500mah 25c batteries together to power the T-Rex 500? Like the Gaui Hurricane 550?

Thanks
