RE: Hyperion cogging like crazy on Mamba 25?

Even when I use the stock 6 cell nimh and haven't ever had it cog, even when the battery is nearly dead, My gearing is pretty conservative. Anyway, cheers.

RE: Eating crow: I was wrong about the CX2

Well it is big of you to admit you were wrong. :D I remember posting in that thread and pointing out to you that it doesn;t have proportional controls like the CX. I have a friend who isn;t really...

RE: Mamba + MLST2 = :') !! How I did it.

No problem. So you are running a stock nimh with the 8000? What do you figure you are getting for speed out of that, out of curiousity?

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

So now you are going to personally attack me? I am not sure what prompted that are where you grew up where that is acceptabler behavior but I am done dealing with you and I will let the mods do it....

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

You are pretty ungreatful for a guy who has PM'd me a couple times and asked me several questions on these forums. I have given you acurate and good advice everytime, I even told you those Insane...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

Kid? My 30th birthbay is in less than 2 weeks. I can tell you 1 thing, my eyes are better than the "3 sources" you had that told you the Insane motors would give you 25+mph, and again I test it in a...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

fine, then I won't bother. I don't need to prove anything to anyone, it's really not that important to me. Believe me or don't, those concened can buy their own set ups experiment with gearing and...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

I wish I had one, I think some resonable video footage should do just fine however.

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

haha, you got that backwards. YOU are the one relying on words (that were written 3 years ago) for your "proven results". Unlike you I actually own the setup in question and have actually run it in...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

Ya I figured that was probably a big factor. They other factor I thinki would be gearing. Gearing it as tall doesn't necesaririly mean it will go as fast as possible, sure in an RC18 or something...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

Whatever, I know it is going well beyond 33mph with the 3 cell in my set up. I will get some footage hopefully this weekend and post it if I have time.

RE: making 2.2's fit a MLST?

You're right, the stock wheels on the MLST do suck. There are a few other oarts on the original MSLT that suck as well. You can easily fix that by putting some Mini MOnster Baja wheels on there,...

RE: MZ landcruiser

Thats a good price, however I would get the Mini Z monster instead. The overlands are kind of like cars with bigger tires. The monster has real truck performance/suspension and can wheelie and jump...

RE: Quark 33 Amp vs Mamba 25?

Well thÃ*t will pose a bit of a problem for some being as the MLSTs stock diff doesnt have bearings. I wonder if the balls are the same size as the rc18ts carbide balls.

RE: Quark 33 Amp vs Mamba 25?

Well the 1565 you have pictured in the attachments doesn't show the bearings, race plates, the diff lube or the screw parts. It looks just like the picture I posted, which is the center gear, 2...

RE: Quark 33 Amp vs Mamba 25?

I wonder what going on with all of the mini-t -mlst MIP parts. Why are they sold out everywhere? Oh well, so far the losi diff has been fine for me, I'll rebuild it when iot needs it using MIP parts,...

RE: Quark 33 Amp vs Mamba 25?

MIP makes sweet gear, so if it isn't better it is atleast as good. It probably is better though, however both would be rebuildable with carbide balls. Does the MIP diff come with everything? Because...

RE: mini lst2 + mamba brushless - what gears??

I can't give you an exact number of turns out but i guess it is around 1 full turn though that may be too loose or too tight. It is pretty easy to set properly using the method above, if it sounds...

RE: Mamba 8000kv vs. Xcelorin 9400Kv

Ya, that is my set up. I get 30+ with the stock 6 cells and 45+ with my thunder power 3 cell. I know it is tempting to set your truck up balls to the wall, locked out with the tallest gearing to see...

RE: mini lst2 + mamba brushless - what gears??

I'd say set it up like a RC18t diff, which is, use 2 screwdrivers to hold the drive cups in place and use your thumb to spin the center gear. It should be very dificult to do with your thumb and then...

RE: Quark 33 Amp vs Mamba 25?

Me neither, good batteries and reasonable gearing are the key. Mind you my setup doesn;t cog even when the batteries are on their very last legs.
