Yes I use a tig with 100% argon shielding gas. The mig should work as long as you keep the guns line where the wire travels trough strait to prevent the aluminum wire from binding. But if you do try...

Right now my gear ratio is 6.5:1 which gives me a top speed of about 18 mph. Which is pretty impressive giving the fact that the truck weighs almost 25 lbs. I haven’t tried topping it out yet due...

The tensioner pulley wasn’t really working[:'(] so I decided to remove it and extend the chassis about 1/2 an inch to tighten the belt. Now Everything is nice, tight and spins freely.

I’m not a professional welder, but I am the son of a professional welder. :D The welds aren’t really that great because you don’t see the nice overlapping pennies effect, like in normal tig...

Well I finally got around to getting those bearing and fixing the clutch. Much more sturdier design. I’ve also decided not go with belt mainly because my vacuum has the same belt I was going to use...

No updates yet, I’ve been out of town camping the last few days. I'll post some more picks in about a week if I get the bearings for the clutch mounted properly. O and I’ll be using a belt pulley...

No I havent gotten a chance to really run it since thanks to rangerfredbob I calculated my top speed to be only 7 mph! lol But it was able to pull a few things arround the yard till the t maxx hubs...

So ive been in the garage for the last 2 weeks creating this truck. Its not far from being finished but ive run into a problem! It has no speed but loades of torque. Im not sure what the gear ratios...

Hey What size motor does it have? A 280, 480, etc? The motor stopped working in my revo and lots of smoke started to come out so I know its toste. thanks
