RE: Pacific Planes 35% Extra 260

Fiberglass with a carbon fiber tail wheel is what is in stock. We can get carbon fiber in for you if you would like. Also, the plane came out to 26.5 lbs with fiberglass landing gear.

RE: Pacific Planes 35% Extra 260

We are still on hold for the new scheme. We are in the process of designing a couple new planes and the scheme will not be changed until our new planes are completed. I will let you know when we...

RE: Haven't even got off the ground yet!!!!

Good luck. Let me know if you ever make it to KC and we can go flying. There are a bunch of good fields here.

Once you get it in the air you will not want to build anymore, only fly!!

RE: To buy Katana MD or Sebart

Between those two I would buy the Katana MD hands down. It is a very good plane.

RE: What kind of Crazy Weights have you used?

Great post. What crap we add to our planes. I used two quarters on a foamy and a 8 pack of AA batteries on a Yak. Only thing I could find at the field.

RE: Stupid Battery question

The battery would still have a full charge. Companies say that you shouldn't keep them charged for an extended period of time. If you do it could effect the life of the battery but you are fine. ...

RE: Good trainer plane???

I didn't read this one until after my last post. Maybe I should stop giving advice, who knows. All I know is that Yaks are my first planes and I flew solo my first flight. I also know a couple...

RE: Good trainer plane???

I don't disagree with you but I was told the exact same thing. I started looking around for a trainer then ended up going to the local field on training night. As I was introducing myself I got...

RE: Good trainer plane???

If you have that many hours on a sim and can hover, do torque rolls, and knife edge, you would be fine with just about anything. If I were you, I would start out with a 12-20 oz Yak 54 and fly it...

RE: Prop For 3D

Low pitch. 4.7 to nothing over 6. Any where in there should be good. Just remember the lower the slower.

RE: Best LiPo Charger? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

thanks flip. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do it through balancing the packs but it looks like that is going to be my only option. Thanks for you help.

RE: Best LiPo Charger? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

The charger looks good but you can only charge one battery at a time from what I see. I am getting ready to convert a 50cc plane to electric and I am going to use three 14.8v 4600 mAh batteries and...

RE: What plane to buy to learn 3-D?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5833267304447154278&q=pacific+planes&hl=en

This is what I am learning 3D on. I definatly agree with the foamy though. I just don't like the wind factor...

RE: What plane to buy to learn 3-D?

I would start with a little electric Profile. I am learning 3D now with a 31 inch Yak 54 Profile. It is a blast and you can fly in up to 15 MPH winds without to much of a handfull. Fomies are...

RE: very new - need help....

Thanks bud. I guess they are many ways and types of planes you can learn from KoolKid. It seems like the majority says to start with a trainer. Maybe think about a sim to learn the controls but...

RE: very new - need help....

Wow, I really didn't mean to cause and argument. I was just stating that a sim can really help you learn the controls. If you can learn the controls before you fly at the field it really helps. ...

RE: very new - need help....

I agree with everyone but there is another way. First I would start out with a sim. You will gain more flying knowledge with a sim then ever. A sim really teaches you the controls quickly. After...

RE: What is a good speed? ? ? ? ? ?

Thanks sound. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Boat goes about 30 and I think I can get another 10 mph out of it. I only paid 350 for it so I don't think I got ripped at all. Just the...
