I have the Raised Diff mount in the first pic and have found no detrimental effect on the handling of my Carson Comanche. It just helps the diff from getting all scratched up as far as I can tell.

I would make my decision on parts avaliablilty. So if your LHS is carrying parts for either car then I would go for that one.

I would personally go for the FG because of parts availability, however if you want 4WD you have it instantly with the MCD.
