Haven't been a mod in years, still getting alerts

Years ago I was a mod for the electric forums, but I haven't been in quite a while. However, I'm still getting the alerts every time someone reports a problem post.

I usually don't pay attention...

RE: Hangar 9 95

It's always trying to yaw to the right no matter which way the wind is blowing, so we can safely say it's a yaw issue and not the wind.

What really bugs me is the yaw issue is bad enough that I...

Hangar 9 95" Cessna 182 yaw problem/wing struts

I recently picked up a beautiful Hangar 9 95" Cessna 182 ARF with DLE 30 gasser engine in it.

The plane has an annoying tendency to yaw to the right.

Visually, there is nothing hanging or...

RE: Question on engine sound module for a B-25

The sound systems I've experienced are not loud enough to be heard clearly while the plane is in the air. You can only hear anything at all if it's perfectly calm and everyone holds their breath,...

RE: HK out of chargers?

Actually, it's pretty normal for HK to be sold out on popular items. It pays to sign up for email notifications when the items you're interested in come back in stock.

RE: Turnigy TGY 9X and 9X8C radio system

1. Are you connecting the ESC to the throttle channel?
2. Have you tried to reverse the throttle channel? (IMPORTANT: remove the propeller first!)

RE: Stinson Tri-motor

I would expect the .25 equivalent electric motors to run on 3S or 4S at most.

With 6S the motors will spin so fast, they'll practically open a rift in the space-time continuum, unless they're...

RE: this is why i hate e-flite

After all that there is the distinct possibility that one or more of the components was bad right out of the box.

RE: 8FG wandering center w/ elevator dual rates

I think you're right. There's a procedure for it on another site, but it looks like I need an SD card. Off to Walmart, I guess...

It's funny, this is the 10th plane I put on the 8FG and I've...

8FG wandering center w/ elevator dual rates

I'm setting up the dual (actually triple) rates on my new Extreme Flight Extra 300. Low, high, and 3D rates.

Elevator dual rates on SA.

Each of the rate selections has a different center...

RE: The Hyde “Not –So- Soft” Soft Mount for the NEU 1521

1. The mounts are being sold by Merle Hyde, not the OP.
2. The mounts are for large 2-meter pattern planes, not slowsticks. That motor is capable of outputting several HP, and would shread a...

Please try to keep it on topic.

RE: Installation of a BEC

BAT = battery

It's a dedicated battery port, so no problem plugging the BEC in there. Or, you can use a Y harness on any other channel.

RE: Help no elevator on my new eurofighter

The DX5e has delta wing (elevon) mixing.

One elevon servo goes in the aileron channel. The other goes in the elevator channel.

I suspect you have the two elevon servos plugged into the two...

RE: Brushless motor

Eflite Park 400 920Kv motor (or any outrunner with similar specs), 20A ESC, 9x7 electric prop

Should work with the battery you have and provide plenty of power.

RE: Dynam Hawk Sky motor cutting out...

Most likely, heat is slowly getting to the budget-priced components and slowly cooking them. Eventually the motor will stop and not start again, ever.

I recommend that you upgrade the...

RE: funjet wiggles all over the place!

The airframe is fluttering due to the excessive speed. It's not stiff enough.

There are a bunch of local guys who severely overpower funjets on regular basis. Carbon fiber and fiberglass are...

RE: Seagull harrier 3D

32 oz/sq ft is in heavy scale warbird territory.

That's how it will fly if the figure is accurate.
