RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

Man this is really killing me. I have not been able to stop thinking about a turbine conversion on the A-4 for the last 3 days. I keep telling myself if I save up a bit every week, I could have one...

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build

I have in the past missed locktite on some things and had it cost me dearly. Glad you caught that before the maiden. If it goes into metal locktite it. Even the screws in the servo output shafts. I...

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build

I used to fly at the Vancouver fairgrounds a bit as well as with a few guys from Molalla. Really like the field in Banks as it is a very well done site with really nice freindly members.

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build

I have not affiliated myself offically with any club in the area as I am not home enough to fly regularly enough to be required to join lol. I drive an 18 wheeler all 48 states and am home about once...

RE: Hobby King turbine!

I am sorry I seem to have misread your post. I just deal with so much of the my wallet is bigger than yours crowd at the same time as the 3D is bad for the hobby crowd, along with the ALL3D is UNSAFE...

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

The only way I can get a turbine is if I get a JetJoe or buy a used turbine at a givaway price. I got a killer package deal on two Regal Eagles and a Y/A A-4 along with 2 Dynajet fans and a Byrojet...

Screamin Demon X2

I have 2 SD's scratch built by a friend. I have one flying on a Jett Q500 .40 with an 8.75x9 ww apc pylon. Goes pretty good for about 4 mins on a 6 oz tank. I am pretty happy with it but had to go...

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

I am getting ready to go home hopefully next week and clear out the rig of my hoard of 11 airframes to make room to go pick up the jets I am buying. Thanks to this that have helped with advise as...

RE: Hobby King turbine!

I am of less than average budget as a flyer. I fly as good or better than most of the unlimited budget flyers I have seen and met. Believe me it makes them very upset. I have learned over the last 21...

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-16C EDF Build

Love the build so far. I am looking at buying one of these kits so this will be a great help if I do. I live in portland so may have to come out and fly with you sometime. I really like how you did...

RE: Yellow A-4 Skyhawk for P-60 Build Thread

I would just glue the wings on but I want to be able to take more than just one or two birds to the field lol.

RE: Yellow A-4 Skyhawk for P-60 Build Thread

All I would need is the sockets that go on the bulkheads. The wood for the conversion and the carbon rods would cost less than $20.

RE: Yellow A-4 Skyhawk for P-60 Build Thread

I just made a deal on one of these kits nib. Not sure if its the older or the newer kit. Or what wing it has. I was wondering if the wing attachment method used on the newer F-16 kit could be adapted...

RE: Hobby King turbine!

I too am of a wait and see attitude, not because I lack skill or knowlege, but because I have a limited budget of time and money. If there were a proven reliable inexpensive turbine with parts...

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

That is still quite spendy but much closer to my budget. If one comes available and I have the cash at the time, I wouldn't be opposed to going with a turbine. I just don't ever seem to have the cash...

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

I have tried the search feature and no love there. Has anyone done a build thread on the Y/A A-4? I just made a deal for one and would like to see zackly what I'm up against lol. If there isn't one,...

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

Ok so if you are using in flight mixture control you have no needle in the carb at all. Basically it is a remote needle with a servo hooked up to it. Do I have it rite now? lol.

RE: Nitro ducted fans? Any left out there?

I still don't understand how if the needle on the engine is set to a lean setting that a remote needle can richen it up. Only a finite amount of fuel can pass through the carb needle on the engine. I...
