RE: Parkzone f4U Corsair Rtf

I also experienced a crash due to loss of control with my DX6i and charged batteries. I will try the voltage protector, too.
Thanks

RE: Parkzone f4U Corsair Rtf

Still waiting on the motors. They should arrive Wednesday next week. I'm using the Turnigy 60A ESC just in case I go over 40A with a 4 cell.

RE: Parkzone f4U Corsair Rtf

My Turnigy SK 3536, 1400kv went up in smoke yesterday. It started making scratchy noises after 3-4 flights with the stock prop and a 4s battery. I was able to try a few more props...

My black plastic stock motor mount ring melted on it's 5th flight with a 4 cell battery and the 3 bladed prop. The motor was hanging down and slightly damaged the cowl.
The Turnigy SK 3536, 1400kv...

RE: Parkzone f4U Corsair Rtf

Does anyone know if the turnigy 3536 motor, 40A ESC combo & 2 bladed stock prop will be ok with a 2200 4s battery.

What would be more powerful?
The above set up with a 3s battery or the stock...

Just got my Corsair for Christmas.

Does anyone know if I can use a 4-cell battery with the stock ESC, motor, prop?

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I've been using the DX6i for all my planes, too and I love it for $179.00, full range receiver incl.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I always liked the blue/white paint myself and I always had too many red/white flyers. So I got myself this Piper Cherokee from Graupner:

Gronsta,
How comes you let your plane being chased by birds? Usually I'm the one chasing them. Maybe you need more power!

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Thanks Bruce!
I spray-painted the cowl in red after taping it to leave the white stripe. Then I placed the black and red factory stickers on the white stripe.
The wheel pants I painted by hand.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I finished the paint job on the Graupner Monsun. It looks similar to the Cessna as a low winger. I also istalled the towerpro 2409-12 with a 7x6 prop. My transmitter got upgraded to the new Spektrum...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I flew the 2810 for some time and it is just about the same as the towerpro which has 1600 or 1700kv. With the 7x4 prop it consumes much less than 25amps. So any lipo that discharges safely at min....

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

J,
The floats are ok. You have to make sure you seal & waterproof them correctly with glue all the way around. Also the front wire has to be bent so it takes shape and fits correctly.
Then you...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Hi guys,
It's been a while. Attached is my new Monsun from Graupner. Looks like a Cessna low wing. Still flying with those floats on my Cessna.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Hi Kiwi,
Just wanted to know if you ever installed that 2409-12 you were waiting for. Mine submerged in saltwater a few times but still works great.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Hi jumpmonkey,
You said you don't get vertical with the 2409-21. Do you actually have a 2409-12 that should get unlimited vertical or do you have a 2408-21 that comes close to vertical?
Also the...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

jumpmonkey,
An 8x5 would be an ideal size, too and should give you nice vertical. I'm still getting vertical power with mine even with improvements and weight additions of over 6oz (9oz with...
