RE: Northstar mods - Tell me what you think

Laddie - Thanks for the feedback. I have admired the Northstar for a long time, just no time to build. I have a clear plexiglas sheet screwed and gasketed for access instead of a hatch, so hopefully...

RE: Northstar mods - Tell me what you think

RE: PBY Catalina ARF by Great Planes

MCLIATT
Try a product called Corrisonex. It's a spray on water resistant spray. One of my first landings was a bouncer, not pretty, but no damage. My landing technique now for the PBY is to trim it...

RE: PBY Catalina ARF by Great Planes

More vasaline... I smeared vasaline around the observation canopies, the rear pushrod exits, the wing saddle and the hatch area. Cleanup with a soft cloth and you don't know it's there. Zero water on...

RE: PBY Catalina ARF by Great Planes

Maiden voyage at last! Recommended motors worked great. Needed two oz lead in the nose with a 2100 lipo shoved all of the way forward. A little vasaline smeared around the lip of the canopy hatch cut...

RE: PBY Catalina ARF by Great Planes

Are the cooling vents for the motors sufficient? This looks like a marginal setup at best. I am thinking about drilling holes between the fake cylinder heads on the cowl to get more air. Also would...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I like the looks of the gear. What are you using for springs?

RE: Burnt out park 450 - is this normal?

I have a similar problem with a 450 in a Mini Pulse. I have probably about 20 flights or so on the plane. Last time up, something smelled hot when I landed. I couldn't tell what, so I let it set for...
