I am assembling a 72" haikong model sukhoi 29. Flying weight will be around 4300gr.
Motor is XM6350EA9 -370Kv with XC9036HV controller.
The LIPO packs I have are 8s 4000mAh and motor works...

There are many parameters to consider not just flat discharge or 0 self discharge.
Maybe for your application life is the best choice but it doesn't mean that its the best for all application.
