battery doors are soft plactic....I used an xacto knife....practicing surgery on the MERV will help with fine finger control....:D

i run 19/45 with my brushless setup...mesh the gears well though, the robinson racing steel pinions will chew up the plastic spur verrrry fast with a bad mesh

Duratrax steel CVD's
Duratrax Ball Diff
Servo Hold down strap

THe Multiplex Permax 4D/400 was the king before the neu rolled in for the detta ST....i'm still running mine , but with a 35A EZ-run esc now.....thinking about trying the permax on the MERV though...

yeah the Vendetta uses a 28mm can, the 380motor size. Same motor can diameter as the VXL in the mini revo.

I would go with either the detta st or the brushed slash. both in your range for price, and both are RTR though technically the detta st is MORE RTR because you get 8 AA's for the TX as well...

The wheel mount issue is not much of a problem now, you can get steel cvd's that use a screw mount similat to what comes stock, or you can get a cvd kit that uses a threaded rod and the wheels mount...

You will need to run 2 of these with a series connector...but it should be good enough for you speed freaks out there...

Team Epic have also been showing off a preview of their new 1 cell 40C...
