RE: first person video piloting... anybody else heard of it?

I love flying FPV and very much enjoy using it to take video of wildlife. I think it is a bit unfair to start a thread with what is probably the most irresponsible FPV flying ever posted. Just so...

RE: New Brushless DF Board Soon Available !!

I received the following note from Mike Dammar:

Mike,

We just got two brushless boards from two different customers with a ground trace blown between the 5 volt regulator near the black...

RE: earial video plaform

Lars,

What the design can lift and the amount of payload you can safely fly are two different things. For example, I just posted in the Kquad Thread flying 5 lbs using more powerful motors. ...

RE: A few draganflyer 5 questions...

Actually that is colored duct tape. And I'll have to say that I really like FL_PL's idea since it adds some width to the visual color profile and is probably not any heavier or maybe lighter than...

RE: I don't know what else to do

As you have seen, the plastic canopy really offers almost no protection during a crash. Solutions are shown here:

The one I made in that...

RE: I don't know what else to do

Sorry to hear this. I am curious if you had tried the tied down approach. A sudden flip sounds like one of the motors stopped or a gear/bearing problem. This should have shown up during a tied...

RE: I need some technical help!

Hi,

With that much time on the sim, you should be in great shape. However, I must tell you that there is still a learning curve with the real thing. Most of it is just confidence in your...

RE: Newbie Here

I think some of the criticism in this thread comes from a user of the early Draganflyer and that credit has not been given to the evolution of the product or Quads in general. Here are a few counter...

RE: 1000mm Custom Draganflyer

Geoff,

All the parts sources for my original Brushless DF mod are listed in the Sticky post link to the Brushless documentation. With the upgraded PWB, you can eliminate the optical...

RE: Draganflier used for business?

Ebrio,

We have progressed well beyond the original SAVS DF and anything currently offered by RCtoys. The new brushless PWB offered by Dammer can be used with outrunner motors and a new frame...

RE: New Brushless DF Board Soon Available !!

Geoff,

It certainly sounds like you have the board that can be upgraded to the brushless version for $50. I think that Dammar just did not include the upgrade price on the website because...

RE: Arming Buttom problem?

Sounds like that little pushbutton switch finally wore out. What it does is short a 5 volt signal to ground which the on-board processor senses via an I/O pin. You might be able to find a...

RE: New Brushless DF Board Soon Available !!

Jim,

It really does not matter much what weight you are carrying with the small frame, it is better to have the small frame PWB version instead of the large frame PWB version. That said,...

RE: SUCCESS! - A Brushless DF Conversion

Ted,

Check the other thread again. Since no one was asking questions, it fell back to page 4. It should be near the front now.

RE: SUCCESS! - A Brushless DF Conversion

Thanks Jim but I no longer need landing gear with the 1000mm Quad Copter frame. With the recessed motors and small foam protectors at the ends of the carbon fiber tubes, no landing gear is necessary.
