I would say check the one-way bearing in the tranny. My buddy had the same problem last weekend. His was just dirty to start with later on the bearing started to spin freely in the gear.

I'm not sure man. On my car I have solid metal pins holding my a-arms. Without seeing exactly what your taking about all I can tell you is most of the screws are between 3-4mm.
