I believe Kokam 1500's are rated at 8C which will give you a max of 12 amps. Sounds like your batteries are damaged, my brother has that same setup as you except he is using a phoenix 10. His setup...

I wouldn't use the snap on type of ball link anywhere on a 1/4 scale plane. If your going to use ball links get the kind that you run a bolt thru with a lock nut on the other side.

I had a ZDZ 40 on mine, great combo. I had a Saito 1.50 on it first and that was plenty of power just got tired of buying glo fuel. Weighed 15lbs with the ZDZ and had no bad tendicies.

It's finally finished. I flew it for the first time this evening, took one click of up trim and 3 of right aileron. Has very minor coupling in Knife edge...one click of trim is to much. Balances...

Sounds like a bad pot, I have had older servo's do this. If it's new I would send it to Futaba for them to repair under warranty.
