I measured 2 different ones with rubber road wheels on, the Tamiya ones were 53.19 and 53.22 mm, so at 55 mm they are probably not Tamiya. I can text pictures of the Tamiya ones if you like.

Yes, decided many smaller wheels would work better. Will be very high clearance (almost no lower hull to hit things) since very little will be below the upper hull.
