I am not certain, but I think that the only one you can buy these new is the Board Sharks model. The others are not new. Also, I think that rcsurfrider and the others no longer mod these surfers....

I found the cheaper board sharks model on ebay and picked it up for $60 w/ shipping. The battery drains fast though. 10-15 minutes of run time and your done.

Did you ever get a chance to take some photos of you mods? I bought a Board Sharks surfer last week, and it seems like it will be fun once it is modified a little. I have not made it to the beach...
