I purchased the JR MC-35 Servo brand new from a local hobby shop 7/21/2007 to replace a JR NES-331 Servo (no problems after 100 flights with the 331 servo, but the NES-331 will not work over 5.4...

I would like a peak charger that I do not have to worry about to give it a full charge and will never overcharge.

Okay......... what is going to give you more longevity and reliability for NiMH Battery Packs used for Receivers/Servos and transmitters?

I use about 50% of my battery capacity when I go...

I just purchased a JR 5 Cell Pack. (1650 NiMH)

I have a JR 700 Receiver and some JR 537 Servos.

Would I gain anything by running a good quality 6V regulator?
Will I get more longevity...

I am no expert on 3D... but I know the YS 63 flies a 6 pound Pattern airplane with very good vertical. It is a perfect match.

But for 3D... The YS 63 would be good for a 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 pound 3D...

I purchased a NIB 91AC... but it does show signs of being mounting and being run... this is first verion of the 91AC.
(i would estimate less than one gallon of fuel.. maybe just one or two tanks...

YS 63S -- Idle problem

the engine is mounted Inverted on a Javelin Pattern airplane and I am running Magnum 1 fuel (22% nitro and 19% syn. oil)
12-7 APC valves adjusted at .005 high needle is set at about 1.5 turns...

YS FZ-63S Idle RPM 2500RPM or 2000RPM?

The original YS 63S instructions that came with my engine say to set the Idle at 2500.

It seems like 2500 RPM is low enouph and maybe my tachometer is not totally accurate.

Have you tried a 13-5 Zinger Wood Prop on a YS 63? or an APC 13-5 ?

And do the ACP props generaly put out more RPM for a given size? compared to a Zinger Wood prop.

I only plan on using 15% to 20% Nitro Fuel... so I would think a 13-5 would not over rev the YS-63.

I thought for Pattern Flying it is best to have a higher pitch prop?

I have both APC and Zinger Wood with these size props.

Would the 11-9 prop be the best pick?

Denatured Alcohol works great. you can get it at any good hardware store.

But it will not work well with baked on fuel residue.
this is where stong solvents like acetone are needed.

I read in a thread that the YS 63 does well inverted but not as good in the upright position when mounting it on an airplane.
