You need to identify whether your batteries are NICADs OR NIHMs. They both produce the same voltage but charge differently. Any decent charger can be setup to charge either.

Yeah, that sux. I am still running old school Futaba FM and using a full RX. It seems that all of the cool toys are for Spectrum and 2.4 Futaba. It's pretty cool how you can run the G31 with Spectrum...

You have to use either the S bus Futaba RX or the Spectrum satellites with the G31 to be able to use the governor option.

Is there a brand name anywher on it? I fixed up an old GMP Cobra and it was a fun experiance but they don't fly anything like a new one. The tails are very weak compared to anything made now.

Try getting rid of the tension roller on the tail. That thing gives problems some time and it will work fine without it.

It's a good heli and parts are still available for it but the parts have always been a bit on the expensive side. You are better off finding something with cheaper parts.

Do you have your belt really tight? That is the only other place that I can think of that you could lose that much power. You can also try lubing the belt with WD40 or silicone.

Be sure that you let us know how that gyro works out. I'm looking at a FBL unit from HC that is supposed to be as good as a VBar but I don't know if it is worth screwing around with the computer part...
