XJet, the HS81 are intended for use on a Mini 3D. I agree, I wouldnt use them for anything bigger than a .15, but the manufacturer recommends HS81.

Tram, I asked that question to Brian at Ultra RC, and in his opinion a .61 should fit fine the yak , since the plane tends to be slightly tail heavy

I use Probond, and Gorilla to glue foam, I don´t think you will have problems cutting with your hot wire.

Sealing the gap with your covering material makes for a better finish. I have also used Scotch Crystal Clear tape and works very well, but you have to apply it carefully to avoid small bubbles.

I have used it alone, applied directly over the surface, and also along with a piece of manila folder paper. Works for me for muffler gaskets and backplates.

I used mine six months ago, stored in a drawer along with other stuff, and its ok. I don´t use it much, and I think it requires only to be kept it away for direct sunlight or heat.
