RE: Astro 020 Brushless Question

It may be perception for me. I had a 400X that I haven't flown in a year, still shelved, and now built the XS with the Astro and didn't try the stock motor. So, 10 cells or a 3 cell LiPo pack would...

RE: Astro 020 Brushless Question

Flew it today and I like the way the motor works, but am not sure it was a night and day difference, this on the same packs I used before. Another question...what prop are y'all finding is he best...

RE: Astro 020 Brushless Question

Very cool, thanks for the reply, that's kind of what I figured but wanted to be sure. I ordered it from a somewhat local hobby shop so I may have to play with the wiring some. Thanks again.

Good info fellas, I'll try a few cycles at low rates and see what it comes up with. Maybe beefier wires as well.

Triton and NIMH Issue

I've been using the Triton for a year now with my Nicads and love it. It takes great care of my batteries and has been worth every penny. I recently purchased a 5cell 1650 NIMH pack due to weight and...

RE: Weston 50 T-1 question

When you say slack on one end, is the slack on the same side (bottom or top) of the elevator on the right and left side, or is the slack on either the right or left side? If it's on the top or bottom...

RE: MAIDEN FLIGHT

That makes great sense. It helps to put some perspective on what it can and can not handle.
Thanks!

RE: MAIDEN FLIGHT

This is my first light weight fun fly type model...I hear cases of the tail feathers coming off at too high a speed. How much throttle with the West can these things really handle. Tomorrow is the...

RE: MAIDEN FLIGHT

All I have left is to mount the receiver and battery, where are y'all sticking the batteries in this beast to start the balancing process?

Nevermind, only one option weight wise.

RE: Magnum Engine

I was kind of hoping to hear some comment on the West engines in comparison to the other makes. I owned one 2 stroke and then went to Saitos, this is my first two stroke in some time. I've heard...

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

I'm sure someone can answer better than I, but I hear with the throttle pipe combo that it makes the engine produce much more torque than a normal 2 stroke of it's size and able to swing a larger...

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

A fit physically is what I was referring to. The .72 is my favorite engine, it gets better as time goes on. My decision came after seeing how lightly the Hype is built. I'm sure it would have worked...

RE: FUEL

This raises a question with me as well...I'm running a 20/20 mix all synthetic in my Saitos...is that too high of a nitro content for the West 50? I'm about to mount it and start breaking it in and...

RE: Quick 6 Volt Question

6 volt it is then. I get the jittering out of one of my planes and it's 1800MAH 4.8 volt pack so it won't be too weird. Thanks for the input!

Quick 6 Volt Question

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

I contemplated the Saito some more, I ordered the West. The more I sized it up the less it seemed like the right fit. I love the Saito so I'll find something cool to put it in.

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

I'll have to try that prop on whatever I put the Saito in. I run the F plugs in both my .72 and 1.00, wouldn't run without that plug...It is one of my favorite engines, but as I'm sizing it up to the...

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

I'm running a 20/20 mix for the Saito so power should be good enough for my...

RE: Hype 3D and Saito .72

Thanks for the feedback, I might look to beef up the firewall as well to make sure the Saito .72 doens't play havoc on the stock gluing. I've only heard rumor of closed loop systems. How is it...
