Antenna question

The thin strip of ribbon from an audio cassette would make a great wind indicator at the end of the Tx antenna. Would this create a problem with the function of the antenna?

Thanks

RE: Best tape for taped hinge?

Is Blenderm suitable for DLG rudder? How about flaps and ailerons on a 3meter?

Thanks,

RE: Sailplane motor control

Thanks Krysta,

I have been messing with it and came up with pretty much what you have. Looks like it should work.

Sailplane motor control

I would like to leave my left stick to control the spoilers on a sailplane. Can I program one of the sliders on my 9CH to control the esc for an electric motor?

Thanks

555 / Super Slim

I recently visited the Hitec site and noticed that the 555 and Super Slim Rx were not listed. I have several of these and have been pleased with the performance. Have they been discontinued?

RE: Wiring a four pin connector

Thanks Michael.

I don't need to do a six servo wing at this time but at least now I understand it.

RE: Wiring a four pin connector

Thank you Michael. I will look at the pins that you suggest. The pins that I have are some very small Deans.

Just curious, but how many servos could be powered by one wire coming from the Rx?...

Wiring a four pin connector

I would guess that this topic has been covered before, but, I have a discus launch glider that has ailerons. I want to make the servo connector at the wing a single 4 pin connection. I understand...

RE: Volt watch troubles

I understand that if an antenna wire is crossed over/ touches itself that it can negatively affect its function. Can other wires such as from servos or the voltwatch cause any performance problems if...

Setting up a new radio

I am considering a new radio in the near future. The thought occured to me that setting up all of my existing models on the new radio would be a considerable task.

RE: Slippery Antenna

I have used the needle and thread trick several times. If the antenna isn't long enough to exit the fuse, simply leave a length of thread attached to the antenna and then anchor the end of the thread...

Switching switches

If you have a 9CAP, is it possible to move the switches from side to side so that it is set up like the heli version? In other words are the mounting holes the same and the wires long enough?

RE: Recommendations Please - 2M Full House ARF

A 2M fullhouse for under $200 is going to be hard to find. Art Hobby has a few 2M for under $200 but do require some building. NSP has the Omega listed as "almost ready to fly" but it is priced...

RE: Good Glider Transmitters

Thanks for the info. Will see what is avail. when I am ready to buy. At this time it looks like the Futaba will fit my needs. Will have to decide if the heli model is worth the extra $30 or so.

RE: Charging Tx Battery with Accu Cycle
