RE: Marvel Mystery Oil?

I have found that ATF takes longer than Marvel Air Tool Oil to run out when putting back in service( I know I probably use more than I need). Now, I use the Air Tool Oil for short term. If it will...

RE: Mecoa .46 reviews

I bought a couple of Mecoa .46's about 15+years ago. Put one on a trainer and it works very well. It handles very well, and has good transition. It makes decent power, and is a great sport engine...

RE: Ringed 2 Stroke Break In

Just keep it rich and take your time. When running in on the bench, you can see better manners developing through the process. I do let it heat cycle between runs. On the bench takes a little more...

RE: Electric, glow, gasser. Just choose one

Glow for me. I prime them and rarely need more than 1 flip to start them from that point. Who in the world runs out of breath from that. When I clean my plane, it is after a great day of flying. ...

RE: Electric Power of Choice?

Scott,

Sorry I forgot to mention CPA. Too many cool planes to overlook. I am still chasing all those piped fire breathers that I couldn't afford back in the day, but dreamed of and have now...

RE: Electric Power of Choice?

Thanks Jamie and David. That really helps me grasp the 1400 watt figure. I really think I will be trying electric for my next new classic plane powerplant. I have way too many of the (old rule)...

RE: Electric Power of Choice?

Just curious. How is the 1300 - 1400 watt number figured. Is that like a .61 swinging an 11 x 7.5 at 13,500 and that power figure converted to electric? Seems like with the engine disp. numbers...

RE: K+B with Irvine Carb

My K&B Pumper came with a grey Perry pump carb. I bought some used K&B .40's that had a black Irvine carb, but they were unpumped versions. Being as how they were used there is no telling how they...

I always thought the weird threads on Webra's were for the Heli engines. Do you have a photo?

RE: What fuel for ST V 60?

Well it sounds like the original posters engine may need lower nitro. I have always used 5% in my Tigre's and thought the ran just fine. I have started to test use some FAI, but it is only to see...

RE: Goldberg Cub and Mr. Lee's K & B 61?

One great thing about the K&B .61 is the chromed liner. Not only is it hard to wear, a new ring can can keep it going for a really long time. I have some over 30 years old that still serve me well....

RE: K&B .65 Sportster

I had a buddy fix up one of those 'Drone Migs' to really look nice. I tried to find some pics, but can't. He had to put a .90 on his as it needed alot of power to fly. He didn't keep it very long....

RE: K&B .65 Sportster

I made a bushing for my Sportster that allows me to mount a carb to the bushing. I saw that K&B did something like this on the 6.5cc and Webra did one for the Dynamix(.61) to fit the 91 Webra. I...

RE: MAGNUM 46 XLS PROP SIZING

I run mine in on the bench. My first engine, a ST S-45 ABC, said to use a 9.5 x 6 for break-in. It allowed it to rev at your target RPM's while keeping it a rich 2 cycle. That engine still...

RE: Prop for Fox 74
