RE: Delta gurus I have a question

My Dust never showed any bad tendancies. I would often come by on the deck at ~150 and pull a 90 degree turn straight up with no tip or other stall. It was always a crowd pleaser. I sold my Dust,...

RE: SUPPRISE FLIGHT REPORT

Have the pipes been properly tuned to the prop/rpm? I just doesn't sound right. I've owned Webra's in the past, a good engine. Bought my first one back in '75 (not quite the Big Bang). Rossi,...

RE: prop diametre ?

Yeh, ok, put a 5X10 prop on it. A 3X10 and watch it turn it's guts out at over 30k rpm. How fast do you think it will go then?

You have to consider how much drag the air frame presents. ...

Dynamic What?

OK, most of us know what dynamic soaring is but has anyone tried it with a powered plane? Would the prop actually slow the plane down?

RE: Revs?

Is this realistic or is it a set up that will let the smoke out of the motor, ESC, or battery?

RE: Revs?

I've heard of some electrics turning over 30K. Seems as if the prop tips are near supersonic.

Revs?

OK, who's turning the most revs and with what combination of engine or e-motor and prop? What kind of thrust / speed is that producing? Exclude fans, this is a propeller driven forum.

RE: what was your first speed plane?

Ditto on the Scat Cat but with a Picco 45 rear induction rear exhaust with pipe. Don't blink. The engine then found a home on a Diamond Dust. Again don't even think about blinking. Got to be...

Can you use a hydrofoil? Would the hydrofoil yield the best control and allow for higher speeds?

RE: Fastest Engine

I'm sure that if you call Dub (Jett), he can work up something. He can fine tune to your specifications. He does make the .90LX and 1.00LX which might be a good place to start. I'm sure that you...

RE: Can you help me out?

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned a plane like the Scat Cat. An oldie but goodie. Built light, flies slow, but will scream if you open her up. Most any of the Quickie 500's are a good...

RE: 250 mph speed! - German SPEEDCUP 2006 scheduled Sept 15th 16th 17th

f3d,

I would like to compliment you on your model. I was wondering where the CG falls. It almost looks like it might be in front of the leading edge of the wing with the engine so far forward...
