RE: BUD NOSEN 1/4 scale CITABRIA BUILD COMPLETION

RE: BUD NOSEN 1/4 scale CITABRIA BUILD COMPLETION

If you research it a bit, you'll find that it is not advised to run the gassers without the airframe together. The mass of the wings and tail and all damp a good bit of the vibrations, and spread the...

RE: BUD NOSEN 1/4 scale CITABRIA BUILD COMPLETION

Cool- I have the covering that was to be used, like a fabric coverite, but it's orange and I'd rather paint a cool scheme than keep it orange. I also don't want to think how much it would cost to use...

RE: BUD NOSEN 1/4 scale CITABRIA BUILD COMPLETION

I just picked up a partially built citabria today- I would like to dress it up as much as I can (scale wise) and also use it as a sailplane tug. I have a couple of options for the powerplant.... I...

RE: GSP Katana 72

Thanks again for the compliments!

Glass is the way to go when it comes to covering- Bar none!
I also buy x-acto blades in the boxes of a hundred if that indicates anything.
With the covering...

RE: GSP Katana 72

Thanks a bunch!
Yes, it was the original version- white with red checkers and red bottom. This was later updated to the ver. 2 I believe because of the lack of access to the inside of the airframe....

RE: Pusher Prop New, but 30 mins later & ovaled out? *Help* What did that?

All I can say, is BALANCE IT FIRST! even if it takes FOREVER! I had one do it cause I got lazy and never balanced it- just threw it in the bow as a spare- (for a pylon racer on a .40 tt pro...

RE: GSP Katana 72

Just figured I'd update- I decided to change the prop out to one with more "bite", (18/10) and was pleasantly surprised with a bit more speed, no change in needle settings, (Moki 1.80) and this...

RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?

Just an idea, but before drilling out the nipple for the tygon, note that the black stuff is also good if it's dubro- dubro sells smoke tubing, and that's what I believe it is- Also, the tygon will...

RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?

Fuel safe tubing is the way to go- there is also a black rubber tubing used here in the states- I don't think you want the water soluble mould release oil, as IMHO it wont smoke. The key ingredients...

RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?

Well, GPS, radar and doppler all seem to concur on the speed, so unfortunately, I'm not being hopeful, just educated. since there were no measurements on the plane at the time of the crash, I feel...

RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?

Nope! You're only limited by how much room you need to eat, sleep, and wash. all that extra room is called storage- Airplane storage.

This is what a garage is supposed to look like. However,...
