RE: Two Brushless Motors on One ESC

It's actually been shown to work very, very well. You can even have one motor heavily loaded and the other spinning free and it'll still work fine. The only major disadvantage is that the efficiency...

RE: Bash your planes for little or no money

Nah, RCU is just struggling as a site. The R/C hobby is growing fast and is actually doing better than ever; you just have to know where to look. Most people are filtering to RCG nowadays; there are...

RE: The Australian bbq and beers

Bushman, I'm not sure about you and the rest of the Aussie guys, but I know that we (the Badius Boys) are alive and well on our own site, as well as RCG to some extent. I don't come around here much...

RE: the dyson hand held Hoover can we use the motor

.......... And the motor's probably not suited to flying a plane anyway. It's just better to use one of the countless motors that are designed specifically for R/C applications; after all, we're one...

RE: How I recovered a completely dead LIPO!!!

I'm keeping up just fine, and it would have made a substantial bit more sense to just say what you meant rather than trying to put a number value on it. That's the part that you screwed up on.

RE: How I recovered a completely dead LIPO!!!

Hmmm.... Since when?

Sorry, but this has to be one of the dumbest statements I've seen ANYWHERE in a LONG time.

I can build an entire plane, from the ground up, starting from absolutely...

RE: Does anybody fly Accipiter Badius in here?

Man, this thread is still around? My understanding was that it closed years ago when the new version started up. Hmm.

I discovered that the Badius flies very nicely on a Suppo 2212-6 2200kV...

RE: Slow stick Forum!!

Cappy, I just realized you stole my sig!!! "If it ain't broke, fix it til it is" was a phrase I came up with like a bunch of years ago flying my helis...

RE: Slow stick Forum!!

Damn..... Not much goes on here anymore. Mostly I'm just here to see if my RCU account is still active (yep). I'll probably get booted off for swearing now.. :D

I've got a brand-new Slow Stick...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Ok guys, here's the story: I bought the very, very first DF#4 version ever available sometime a long time ago, when I was 11. That was over 4 years ago (I'm now 15). I think some of you may remember...

RE: Badius Owners Club: A New Hope?

Man, even though the BOC has mostly moved away from RCU it's hard to come here and not drop a post in my old home.

So yeah, just checking things out around here. I was just passing through and...

RE: Weasel Jet..... This is a must-build!

Awwwww, man. RCU isn't really the fastest-moving site ever, eh? I haven't been here for like 3 months and this thread is the first one on Page 2? Not enough action.... Well, let's see if I can't get...

RE: Weasel Jet..... This is a must-build!

Ok, the latest and greatest Weasel has been built. It uses two wooden spars across the bottom of the wing (1/8"x1/2" spars) for stiffness and it seems to be fairly strong. I tried with the stripped...

RE: Pimp my Zagi XS

Much better. Go for a 6x4 APC-E prop and you'll have very good performance. Way past the old setup for sure. And once you fly brushless, you'll never, ever look back.

RE: Pimp my Zagi XS

Ooooh, that's tricky. I'd go with either a beefier ESC or a calmer motor. A 3900kV inrunner is mostly for helis and cars; you'd be severely overworking it trying to spin a prop that you'd need for a...

RE: Weasel Jet..... This is a must-build!

Ok, new battery came. I built a new Weasel. It's the best-flying one yet. I changed the elevons a little so as not to block the airflow to the prop; they're now 12" long.

I've got even more...

Now I have to go change all my usernames on various sites....

RE: Do you ever attract a large crowd when flying at the park?!

I almost always have an audience and mostly I don't mind it. Gives me a chance to show off;) People inevitably ask the same questions (How much? How high? How fast? Where can I get one? How much are...

RE: Why can't we dicipline our kids anymore.

RE: Why can't we dicipline our kids anymore.

Ahhh..... you don't have kids. Please don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about. I've had 3 siblings younger than me and I'm pretty sure they all had teeth at 12 months. And yeah,...

RE: Why can't we dicipline our kids anymore.

Krawlin, there's a difference between parents and a boss at a job. Maybe you can figure it out, maybe not

Good luck sitting down with a 1 year old to discuss why biting isn't nice.

RE: Why can't we dicipline our kids anymore.

I get that I'll screw stuff up but if possible I'll just epoxy it back together. Won't necessarily be as good as new but it'll be better than nothing. If it's something that can't be fixed that...

RE: Why can't we dicipline our kids anymore.

Might sound a little funny, but I agree with the people saying that kids should be slapped around a little (or a lot) more. I know I've done some stuff that deserves a solid one (or two) to the jaw...
