I wouldn't use it. It's to thick to soak into the hinges and balsa. Pretty sure it would not hold, just use the thin and you won't have to worry.

Don't have the guns installed in these pics. I didnt like the tubes that come with, so I ordered the TF B-25 guns and installed them. They look really good. Just have to paint the front of the cowls...

I am running E-flite 60 esc's. I dont think I can download anything from them. The leads are going to be approx. 12 inches. I sure I will be flying scale, not alot of throttle variance.

Here's some pics of the TF P-40 canopy on a Skyshark, in my opinion its not a great fit. Its a little short on the sides of the canopy, the front fits OK.
