You probably won't pick up enough satellites indoor for the GPS to work, I know that I couldn't. We're you able to calibrate the compass successfully (as indicated by the VU LED)?

According to the manual, you don't want to let Windows install the USB drivers for you. If it has already installed them, uninstall them. Unplug the USB cord going to the VU so it won't try to find...

Are you using a Mac or PC? And if a PC, with what OS - Win7 or XP? Have you been able to successfully load the USB drivers? Make sure you use the USB drivers for either 32-bit or 64-bit OS...
